Matthew Arnold letters to Mary Sybilla [Lyall] and Francis James Holland [manuscript], 1881-1883.

In a letter, 1881 January 1, Arnold asks Mrs. Holland to mark French examination papers for him. In a letter, 1882 January 5, he discusses his poetry and the use of the words "ullulating" and "cecity" in the poem "Westminster Abbey." He believes that Arthur Penryn Stanley, in whose memory the poem was written, would have liked it. In a letter [1883?] January 4, to the Rev. Holland, he comments on reaching the age of 60.
